Lifetime warranty on all frames and Carbon Crash Replacement program

Lifetime warranty on all frames for the entire ownership of the original purchaser. This covers manufacturing and material defects. No exclusions for racing. Rider and equipment weight limit: 120kg for standard bikes; 140kg for e-Bikes. Proof of purchase must be presented. (frames from model year 2011 onwards). *Conditions apply. * The lifespan of a bike is up to ten years.

Forks: Carbon and aluminium rigid forks are guaranteed for 5 years from the date of purchase

Suspension: Rear suspension components are guaranteed for 2 years from the date of purchase

All other MERIDA branded components, including paint and finish, are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase.

The Merida Warranty Excludes:

Componentry which isn’t Merida branded (see below)

Normal wear and tear

Damage caused by accidents, neglect or abuse

Improper assembly

Improper follow-up maintenance; all bikes must be serviced by an authorised MERIDA dealer within 6 months of purchase. Suspension systems must be serviced annually by an authorised dealer

Any modifications of the frame or original components, including motorised conversions , will void warranties.

Branded Components

Issues relating to branded original components, such as Shimano or SRAM are the responsibility of the appropriate component manufacturer’s warranty and subject to their terms and conditions.

In the case of branded components failing, please contact your local MERIDA stockist who will liaise with the relevant distributor on your behalf.

If the cause of the fault isn’t initially clear based on the information and photos your MERIDA stockists provides, the defective product may need to be returned to MERIDA Bicycles Ltd for closer inspection.

Merida Carbon Crash Replacement

Accidents can happen. Whilst a Merida carbon frame helps provide competitive advantage, the inherent material properties of carbon fibre can severely compromise the structural integrity of the frame when subjected to impact.

From the 2011 model year, we offer the original owner of any Merida carbon frame a crash replacement carbon frame at 50% of the normal retail price in the event of an accident.

The Carbon Crash Replacement Claim Process

If you’ve sustained crash related damage to your Merida carbon frame, please return the frame with your original proof of purchase to an authorised Merida stockist for inspection.

If the damage is deemed to have compromised the integrity of the frame, an equivalent crash replacement frame will be offered at 50% of normal retail price.

Conditions Of Crash Replacement Frame Provision

The Merida Carbon Crash Replacement offer is subject to stock availability

If the equivalent current model bicycle frame is not available, alternatives will be offered

The customer will be charged 50% of the frame’s RRP plus freight costs, payment must be made prior to the frame being despatched.

The frame will be delivered to a local Merida stockist for assembly

Any assembly costs should be negotiated directly between the dealer and the customer

Norco Bicycles Warranty

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Norco Bicycle (Norco). Norco warrants that Norco frames will be free from manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty applies to the original owner only and is non-transferable.

Ownership - Register Your Bike

The original owner must register their new bicycle within 90 days from the date of purchase with Norco Bicycles (www.norco.com/bike-registration) to complete a record of ownership and to participate in the applicable Warranty and Norco Crash Replacement Program. Upon successful completion of your online registration, you will receive an email confirmation for your records. Your Authorized Norco Bicycle Dealer is the best source of care and information for your bicycle. The more you ride, the more frequently you should have your bicycle professionally inspected and maintained. Be sure to read your owner’s manual and make yourself familiar with recommended service intervals and procedures. If you have any questions about the limitations of the intended use of your Norco bike, ask an Authorized Norco Bicycle Dealer.

Norco Bicycles New Purchase Limited Warranty

Your ride enjoyment is our priority, and if you have any issues with your Norco Bicycle contact the Authorized Norco Bicycle Dealer where you purchased your bicycle first. The Norco warranty applies to all new bicycle frames and framesets purchased from and assembled by, an Authorized Norco Bicycle Dealer. Any warranty claim must be made through an Authorized Norco Bicycle Dealer. Your Authorized Norco Bicycle Dealer is professionally equipped to assist you with your bicycle care, as well as any issue(s) or claim(s) made that are a result of a manufacturing defect. Please note that transportation charges are not covered by the Warranty.

Please note that transportation (shipping costs) and labor costs associated with warranty claims are not covered by the warranty and are the responsibility of the customer.

Norco Bicycles warrants the replacement or repair at its sole option, of any original Norco branded part due to a defect in material and/or workmanship for 1 year from the original date of purchase. An original sales receipt or other proof of purchase is required at the time of claim.

Batteries

Norco will warranty proprietary VLT batteries for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase against manufacture defects.

VLT E-bikes using Shimano batteries will be subject to Shimano battery warranty policy.

Warranty Exclusions and/or Limitations

Components and suspension forks / rear shocks are not considered part of the frame and are not covered under the terms of the frame warranty. Suspension manufacturers, brand-name wheels sets, and other brand-name components designate their own specific warranty policy for their products. Visit the component manufacturer’s websites for further information. If you did not receive a Norco owners manual from your Authorized Norco Bicycle Dealer at the time of purchase, please go to www.norco.com/owners-manual

Colour fade as a result of harmful UV exposure or sunlight is not covered.

This warranty is void in its entirety by the modification of the frame, fork, or components. Failure of any frame or component due to accident, abuse, neglect, normal wear, stunt riding, commercial use, rental use, improper assembly, improper fit, maintenance, and/or assembly by/or purchased from another party besides an Authorized Norco Bicycle Dealer, or use of parts inconsistent with the use originally intended for the bicycle as sold, are not covered by this warranty.

Warranty claims made outside the country of purchase may be subject to fees and different terms or restrictions.

Rental/Demo Bicycle Change of Ownership: Bicycles purchased from an authorized Norco Rental or Resort Partner must be registered. Norco Bicycles warrants the replacement or repair at its sole option, of any Norco, branded part due to a defect in material and/or workmanship for 1 year from the original date of purchase. Original sales receipt, registration confirmation, or other proof of purchase is required at the time of claim.

Bicycle Lifecycle

Always purchase your new Norco bicycle or frame from an Authorized Norco Bicycle Dealer and be sure to maintain your bicycle and have it inspected regularly to guarantee the Norco ride quality and identify any potential issues. Norco Bicycles are designed for the intended use and rider enjoyment, however, bicycles are not indestructible; every frameset has a useful life cycle and may not last forever. The duration of the life cycle will depend upon the type of frame, riding conditions, and the care your bicycle receives.

Crash Replacement Program

Accidents can happen and you may need to replace your damaged frame. Norco provides a crash replacement program that is available only to the original registered owner or secondary owner of a bike purchased from an authorized Norco Bicycles Resort or Rental Partner. The Crash Replacement Program covers the frame only during the warranty period, provided the bicycle was registered within 90 days of purchase. For more information about registering your bike, see above under Ownership. For a frame damaged due to an accident, at its discretion, Norco will make a replacement available at a discount to the registered original owner – see your authorized Dealer for warranty requirements and complete details.

In the event that your frame breaks or malfunctions, Norco shall bear no liability or obligation beyond the repair or replacement of your frame pursuant to the terms outlined in the warranty. • What are the key points in the warranty policy for BMC bikes?
  BMC provides a voluntary warranty of three years on every frame, and two years on BMC components and paintwork (paintwork one year for bikes before 2014). By registering your new BMC bike on the Bike Registration page, you can extend the warranty on the frame to five years. You can read the warranty provisions in detail on the Warranty policy page.
  Is there a warranty on used BMC bikes?
  The warranty begins with the purchase of a new BMC bike and continues in effect, if the bike is sold on. However, you must be able to provide the original receipt in order to file a warranty claim.
  Does the warranty cover racing?
  The warranty covers racing. Damage caused by crashes, external influences, or inappropriate use is however excluded from the warranty.
  How do I register a warranty claim?
  If you purchased our product from a retailer, please get in touch with them and they will handle the warranty process for you.
  If you purchased directly from us, please get in touch via our contact form and our customer support team will advice on the next steps.
  Where can I find the BMC serial number?
  The serial number (also known as frame number) can be found in front of or below the bottom bracket. On model year 2014 bicycles or newer, it is printed at the bottom of the QR code.

Crash Replacement

• What is the crash replacement program?
  The 'Crash replacement' program covers damages to the frame caused by crashes that occurred while using the bike appropriately, or through no fault of your own, and without external influences (e.g. damage during transport). The criterion is that the frame is no longer fit for use. For example, damage to the paintwork is not covered by the 'Crash replacement' program.
  How does the BMC crash replacement program work?
  BMC congratulates you on the purchase of your new BMC product. Our name stands for high quality, durability and functionality in the development, production and processing of the materials used as well as the striking looks resulting from the finish, concept and design.
  Even with proper handling and maintenance of your bicycle, you are not immune to your bicycle being damaged in a manner not covered by the warranty. The crash replacement program is an optional service provided by BMC Switzerland AG (hereinafter BMC), as a result of which you shall have the one-time opportunity to have your BMC frame replaced with a discount on the respective valid, official list price. The following procedures and provisions govern the services guaranteed to the buyer as part of the crash replacement program by BMC, as well as the preconditions under which claims can be made for these services.
  Procedure:
  Read the 'Crash replacement' provisions listed below. Take your crashed bike and your purchase receipt to your nearest retailer
  CRASH REPLACEMENT PROVISIONS
  1. Integral component of the warranty provisions in the purchase agreement
  These provisions on the crash replacement program shall not guarantee an independent claim. By activating (see point 2 below) the crash replacement program, these provisions shall become an integral component of BMC's warranty provisions. The terms defined in the warranty shall in turn also be valid for crash replacement claims.
  2. Activation of crash replacement
  In order to be able to benefit from a possible crash replacement, you must register your bicycle/frame on the BMC website within 30 days of the date of purchase.
  After this 30-day period, registration is no longer possible, and a claim for crash replacement can no longer occur. We therefore recommend registering with BMC immediately upon buying a new bicycle or frame from BMC. By registering, you not only meet the basic precondition for participation in the crash replacement program, but you also extend the warranty on your frame from 3 to 5 years from the date of purchase at the same time. A frame procured by means of crash replacement shall be excluded from a further crash replacement. The 3 to 5 year warranty will be extended from the date of replacement under the same conditions of the original manufacturer warranty.
  3. Duration of crash replacement eligibility
  Crash replacement shall span the entire warranty period.
  4. Exclusion of crash replacement
  All circumstances that lead to exclusion from the BMC warranty shall also exclude participation in the crash replacement program. Furthermore, a frame may only be replaced once as part of the crash replacement program. Crash replacement shall include:
  consequences of a fall during proper use
  damage through no fault of your own, and without involving third parties
  5. Intensity of the damage as a precondition for the claim
  Crash replacement may take effect if the frame has experienced a detrimental effect to its functional capacity and thus negatively impacting safe riding. If the frame is not damaged, or is not damaged to the extent described above, no claim for crash replacement can occur.
  6. Services as part of the crash replacement
  The complete frameset shall be replaced as part of crash replacement. Please refer to the product description of the respective model for the scope of delivery. Damaged components that are not part of the frameset shall be excluded from crash replacement. If the same model can no longer be supplied, a frame from the direct successor model may be purchased. The labor costs/wages of the BMC retailer are not be included in crash replacement.
  7. Assertion and processing of crash replacement
  The crash replacement shall be reported to your BMC retailer by means of the completed crash replacement form, a copy of the warranty card, and the purchase receipt. Your BMC retailer shall inform BMC of your request for crash replacement, incl. photos of the defective bicycle and frame number. BMC shall check the circumstances and deliver a replacement to the BMC retailer in the event of a positive decision. The assembly and basic adjustments must be performed by the BMC retailer. Should these preconditions not be adhered to, warranty claims of any kind may be rejected.
  8. Severability clause
  Should a provision from the crash replacement program be or become invalid or exhibit a loophole to be closed, the legal force of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. Instead of the missing or invalid provision, a provision that most closely approximates the meaning of the original provision shall be agreed.
  9. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
  For all disputes from or in conjunction with the crash replacement program (including with regard to the question of its conclusion or validity), the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts from the Canton of Solothurn shall be agreed. This purchase agreement shall be subject to Swiss law with the exclusion of a conflict of laws, as well as the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
  Which bikes does the BMC crash replacement program cover?
  The top models in the respective model series benefit from the 'crash replacement' program.
  To benefit from crash replacement, you must register your bike/frame on the BMC website within 30 days of the date of purchase. The crash replacement program covers the entire warranty period up to a maximum of five years from the date of purchase.
